Top Craft assembly

Wall hangings are easy to make. The small size curtains, once created, will make a great gift and/or decoration for your home.

Once you have your parts together and you have your tools, you can start making the wall hanger. If you're new to quilting, don't worry because a quilting hanger is one of the easiest crafts to make.

Be sure to have your rotary cutters handy as you will need to cut ¼ inch seam allowances during your quilting project. Now, assuming you have your green, brown, blue, yellow and peach prints, let's start creating the quilt top.

In short, I will go through the categories to help you prepare. You should have two inches, 2 ½ x 19 ½ for the top and bottom margins on the green prints. You should have two more green borders about 2 ½ by 27 ½ inches. In your D square, you should have a number of 36 and a size of 1 ½ x 1 ½ inches. Tan print has six parts, namely A-stripe, B-piece, C-stripe, D-E square and F-stripe. Blue only has one half, while yellow has three and peach has one.

Yellow is the C-stripe, D-square and the last number four is the cornerstone. C is number eighteen and measures 1 ½ x 1 ½ inches and D is number 12 and measures 2 ½ x 2 ½ inches; F is a peach line, Peach, number 4 and measures 1 ½ x 3 ½ inches. The Peach has a G string, a rating of 4, and measures 2 ½ x 5 ½ inches. The die prints a #6 so the #1 sash is straight at 1 ½ x 13 ½ inches. The second wing stands for three and measures 1 ½ x 21 ½ inches, while the final row H stands for four and measures 1 ½ x 7 ½ inches.

You will need to cut these pieces for the quilt. Use the instructions above for an accurate cut. Now you can highlight your quilt. Start by building a row and a block. Use your block, line and start piecing together your D-Blue Square to attach the narrow A-Tan pieces. (episodes)

Continue to the next color scheme to complete the second block. Use the D-Yellow Square in the second block to create several narrow pieces in each color scheme.

Now join the two pieces of brown print together to create the first row and first block. Use a Tan B, some Blue C's, Yellow C's and roll so the Yellow/Blue has a gate in the color scheme in the second block. You want to make two small pieces.

In the third row, make several rows and arrange the colors according to the blocks. In the fourth row, make two more rows so that you have nine patterns in your color scheme to expand on. Alternately add stitches to the (2) blocks and create a center by making #2 to knit small pieces equal to three. Now press the fabric. Use an iron without ironing, instead press continuously.

Be prepared for your limits. Starting with edge #2, join the small pieces from left to right and along the sides on the right side of the quilt toward the center. Add 2 ½ x 2 ½ inches by sewing the yellow square. Sew along the short edges and join them to your two edges. (Strip #1) Move the top and bottom edges to join the small pieces and join in the middle. You are now ready to complete your project.
